Welcome to The Glenwood Hostel
One of the only hostels that offers only private rooms. Why stay at a hostel where you share your sleeping space, when you could have your own room, and privacy? You''ll find clean, safe, friendly, comfortable accommodations right in the heart of Brooklyn at The Glenwood Hostel. We are a budget, no-frills alternative to high priced city hostels.
The Glenwood Hostel, conveniently located in historic Williamsburgh, is the preferred destination for smart travelers. It''s perfect for students and anyone on a tight budget. And it''''s close to everything&? great shopping, restaurants, clubs, art galleries, sporting events, and it''''s just minutes to major airports and to Manhattan. With rates as low as $33.00 per night per person for a single, you can spend less on lodging and more on everything New York has to offer, from Broadway and Midtown to Little Italy, Chinatown, and some of the best stores in the world.
In general, travelers are forced to choose between two types of accommodations: inexpensive dormitory beds in hostels where you have no privacy whatsoever, and expensive hotel rooms where you pay a fortune for a room that you barely use and need only for sleeping. We "bridge" the two. We offer single rooms that are small (just large enough to sleep in), simple, and the ceilings are open and consist of open "latticework." While there is visual privacy in your room, sound does travel across the entire floor of rooms, so you can hear people around you. Our hostel is in the city next to the train, so outside noise does filter in. We do supply earplugs. While you are not getting total luxury, you do get physical privacy, i.e. your own room, with a lock on it, and no sharing with strangers. And you get that privacy at a price that simply cannot be beat! WE DO NOT HAVE REGULAR DORM ROOMS.
See what a great city has to offer at a great little budget hostel that''s right around the corner. Visit The Glenwood Hostel, and savor it all! |
can't beat it for the price! Great place for cheap! The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and being just 1 subway stop into Brooklyn from Mahattan it was in a very convenient spot for me to not have to trek as a tourist. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience New York City, but not wanting to pay and arm and a leg on a hotel room!
